Jeremy Stacey is a Los Angeles-based composer, drummer, percussionist, and scoring assistant with a background in media composition, music editing, and music preparation. A graduate of California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Music in Media Composition, Jeremy's work spans original composition for short films, independent projects, and live performances, as well as technical and creative support roles for established composers in the film, television, and game industries.
Jeremy's composing experience includes original scores for short films, indie video games, live dance performances, and educational projects, as well as writing for competitive high school drumlines and wind ensembles, including a commission premiered by the CSUN Wind Ensemble.
As a scoring and music production assistant, Jeremy brings hands-on experience in session prep, orchestral template management, sample library customization, and music editing. He has worked closely with industry veterans including Shie Rozow, Greg Tripi, and MB Gordy, contributing to projects through Pro Tools and Cubase session management, recording engineering, Kontakt instrument creation, database management, marketing, and metadata organization. As part of his work with composer Greg Tripi, Jeremy contributed as a scoring assistant to the Netflix documentary Our Father.
In addition to his work behind the scenes, Jeremy is an accomplished drummer and percussionist, performing and teaching throughout Los Angeles in a range of styles from jazz to pop to musical theater. Drawing on his experience as both a performer and educator, Jeremy brings a collaborative spirit and meticulous attention to detail to every project.
